Baldwin locomotives were used by many companies in Puerto Rico. The DeGolyer Library, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, has files of the engines used and their specifications. I include a few examples. Notice that the track gauge shown, distance between the railroad tracks, is different for each company. This means that not all companies could exchange equipment.
Las locomotoras Baldwin fueron usadas por varias compañías en Puerto Rico. La DeGolyer Library Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, tiene unos extensos archivos sobre las locomotoras Baldwin y sus especificaciones. Incluyo algunos ejemplos. Observe que el ancho de vía (track gauge) es diferente para cada compañía. Esto quiere decir que no todas las compañías podían intercambiar equipo.
